Red Kite Network Limited is a small and dynamic landscape design, ecology and environmental consultancy based in Ironbridge, Shropshire. We work throughout the UK and our diverse client base includes local authorities, national and regional developers, blue chip companies, community groups and individual private clients and property owners. We provide a range of integrated services from concept design and masterplanning to detailed design, site surveys, project management and contract administration. Our current workload is varied and exciting; offering a range of opportunities including masterplanning and feasibility for a new country park, design and delivery of several Heritage Lottery Fund projects, detailed design and landscape visualisations for a large residential development and protected species surveys and mitigation for bespoke build and renovations.
Due to our continued and consistent business growth we are now seeking capable and passionate people to help share in our success. We are looking for several candidates including:
Senior/ Landscape Architect
We require a Senior or Landscape Architect with a minimum of five years post graduate experience. Ideally you will be a CMLI with a broad background in landscape design including masterplanning, detailed design, LVIA and visualisation. You should be able to demonstrate competency with design and visualisation software as well as previous experience of delivering projects on the ground. We anticipate that the role will develop and become an integral part of the business with opportunities for the right candidate to progress to Principal Landscape Architect or Associate Director.
Assistant/ Graduate Landscape Architect
A vital part of our work is explaining and articulating ideas to a broad range of audiences, transforming those ideas and making them a reality. We require an Assistant or Graduate Landscape Architect who has a great design flare, a good eye for detail and excellent design communication skills. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a high degree of competency with design software, relevant post graduate work experience and be working towards your P2C. In return we can offer you support with your training and career progression.
Our core work is ecology and we have many long term clients. We require an experienced and knowledgeable ecologist with a broad background in Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and protected species surveys and mitigation. Ideally you will have at least three years experience in consultancy, hold a degree in ecology or relevant subject and be a full or associate MIEEM. Candidates should hold or be
working towards obtaining protected species licences for working with bats and great crested newts. Excellent report writing and presentation skills are essential. There will be opportunities to work on a diverse portfolio of projects as well career progression for the right candidate.
Landscape Manager/ Project Consultant
As an integral part of our approach to design we also provide strategic planning, management planning, business planning, project management, community consultation and audience development, funding applications and specialist advice in relation to planning policy, landscape and public open space. We require a Landscape Manager or Project Consultant with a relevant background in either Landscape, Planning, Horticulture or Community Engagement who can, in particular, support our public sector clients with developing their landscape/environmental projects. Ideally you will have at least two years experience in a relevant professional discipline and able demonstrate knowledge of preparing landscape/greenspace management plans, working with stakeholders and an understanding of environmental funding programmes. This will be a varied and interesting role and would suit a candidate who is well organised and looking for a diverse and rewarding position.
The above positions are open to everyone with the right experience and qualifications. The ability to drive, have access to a car for work and very occasionally stay overnight in the UK is desirable. In return for the right candidate we can offer flexible, part time or home working, 25 days annual holiday, a dedicated annual personal training budget, expenses and a discretionary bonus scheme. Salaries will be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience.
