Moor Pool Heritage Trust: Community Estate Manager
Part time position based in Harborne, Birmingham
Hours per week: 29.6 (Please note this includes weekend and evening work)
Salary: £14,220 to £20,800 depending on experience.
Moor Pool Heritage Trust was set up in 2011 to save the Moor Pool Estate from invasive housing development. In 2013 the community hall came under threat together with, the various sports facilities, allotments and lock-up garages. Enough money was raised to save the Hall and facilities and bring it back into community ownership once again. The Trust is now looking for a business manager to run the Hall and land on Moor Pool estate. Please see www.moorpooltrust.co.uk
The Trustees are seeking an enthusiastic person ensure the Moor Pool Estate community facilities run smoothly by managing bookings, maintenance, staffing, and to promote the facilities using the website, newsletters and social media. To report to and work closely with the charity’s trustees and to ensure that Moor Pool Estate is a well-managed facility for the local and wider community.
This is a key post and the successful applicant will be responsible for the development of the business, finance, premises, contracts, communications, Health & Safety and development projects such as an Education Eco Centre and fundraising events. The post holder will work closely with a new Education Officer to promote the history and wellbeing of the Estate.
