There are currently exciting opportunities to join The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country board of trustees, as Trustees or the the Chair of Trustees.
The current Chair, Peter Shirley, will be stepping down at the AGM in January. Having been involved in the Trust since it was founded in the 1980s, he will be greatly missed. He says about the role of Chair: “This Trust leads nature conservation in Birmingham and the Black County and it is a pleasure and a privilege to be the Chair. Astute and enthusiastic leadership is needed more than ever to ensure that the Trust extends its reach in the world increasingly inimical to wildlife”.

As well as a new Chair of Trustees, the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country are also looking to recruit new Trustees to join the Trust Council.
As a Trustee you will have the unique opportunity to shape the strategy and vision of the Wildlife Trust to protect the natural environment and join people with nature. They are looking for people who are passionate about wildlife, with a strategic vision and independent judgement. If you are interested then you can download the briefing pack here.
There will also be a briefing morning for potential trustees on Monday 28th November. To find out more or book your place please contact Paula Reilly via email or phone on 0121 454 1199.
