Petanque image

Following requests from local enthusiasts Wychavon District Council have recently constructed 3 national standard petanque courts in Workman Gardens, Pershore. Since their completion in summer 2006 the courts have been well used by local clubs and there has been discussion about whether the area could be increased.

The £15,000 project was funded through the Market Towns Initiative with match funding from Wychavon District Council parks department. The construction of the courts and footpath links took three weeks.
